Poem by =cheshirekazz:iconcheshirekazz:

We've never been to war
yet watched each other die
a thousand deaths.

When I wander, lost and afraid,
you are the compass that
guides me home.

When all is lost, you give
me hope.

When all is well, you show
me how to appreciate the bounty.

You are the harbor in my
tempest, and I your river in drought.

Your strength and determination
to survive and succeed inspire me
to write a million pages...

But of all the words I
find, of all my poetry and prose,
the two sentences I always
return to are the same.

You are my hero.
&
I love you.
